Backend Team Lead

We’re looking for a Backend Team Lead to join and lead our in-house team working on an integration platform. You’ll have an impact on the entire development process, design new features, set best practices, and make architectural decisions in collaboration with your teammates.

⚙️ Tech stack: Python (Django / FastAPI), Kafka, Docker, K8s, AWS, MySQL, MongoDB, Neo4j

Our core product is a talent platform with a mission to get people moving within large organizations — matching open roles/projects with employees who are looking for new challenges. It's a team-focused app that people use daily at work, so all notifications and project browsing happen right there.

🤝 What do we need?

• At least 3 years of experience in leading, managing teams, and mentoring
• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Understanding of software engineering principles and hands-on experience designing complex, scalable software architectures
• Practical experience with microservices and cloud-native environments
• Experience with web frameworks and REST API development
• Proficiency in working with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Neo4j, MySQL, or similar)
• Passion for clean code, design patterns, and delivering maintainable, scalable systems

• Hybrid setup (Prague – Náměstí Míru)
• We prefer collaboration via freelance (IČO)
• Communication in 🇨🇿 & 🇬🇧

⏭️ What does the process look like?

• Intro call with our recruiter: A quick chat to go over the basics and share more details — 15 minutes
• Technical screening with our engineer: On-site or online — 1 hour
• Technical interview with the client — 1 hour
• HR interview with the client: A classic culture fit round — 15 minutes
• WhatsApp call with the Head of R&D: A casual intro — 15 minutes
• Final decision

The total time investment is about 3 hours, and the whole process typically wraps up within 1–2 weeks.
